Mission
Wear what's real.
CottonTruth exists because the clothing industry sold a generation on plastic and called it progress.
The problem
Most of the world's clothing is now made from polyester — a petroleum fiber. It sheds plastic microfibers in the wash, outlasts its usefulness by centuries, and gets marketed as "performance fabric" because that sounds better than "plastic."
The solution
Cotton is a plant. It breathes, it absorbs moisture instead of trapping it, it softens with age, and it returns to the soil. Humans have worn it for ~7,000 years. It never needed a marketing department.
What we stand for
- Truth over marketing. We name materials plainly. If a garment is 100% cotton, the label says 100% cotton.
- No greenwashing, ever. No invented certifications, no vague "eco" language, no offsets to excuse synthetics.
- Verifiable claims only. Our site states fabric content only where it's in the product data. What we can't verify, we don't say.
- Buy fewer, buy better. A heavyweight cotton tee that lasts years beats a thin synthetic one that pills in months.
Our promise on every garment
- 100% cotton. No blends. No exceptions.
- Honestly labeled. The fabric spec is published, not hidden.
- No plastic fibers. Nothing we sell sheds microplastics in your wash.
